James E. Grey Preserve is a hidden treasure just across the river from Colony Cove. Housing 80 acres of natural wilderness where a quiet rural boardwalk follows the winding path of the Cotee River, the Preserve is part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, has an ADA accessible kayak launch, and features a playground with four shaded picnic tables and grills.

New Port Richey contains boundless Florida nature to explore and enjoy. Many City parks are located along the banks of the Pithlachascotee River - or the Cotee, as it's known by the locals. Boat docks and kayak launches are available for public river access from the parks. Swimming dolphins and manatees are a common sight on the Cotee.

Fred Howard Park is 155 acres of park and beach located in Tarpon Springs. There is a 1-mile causeway from the park to the white sandy beach for swimming and sunsets. This park provides homes to wildlife including eagles, gopher tortoises and fox squirrels.

Two ballparks serve as the spring training home of multiple teams: Jupiter's Roger Dean Stadium (Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals) and West Palm Beach's CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches (Houston Astros and Washington Nationals). The Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins both play in Fort Myers, but in different stadiums.
